RULES

ENTRIES:

1. All entries must be received by Stone County Economic Development Partnership by 5:00pm on Thursday, April 1st, 2010.
2. No telephone entries will be accepted.
3. Entry fee of $20.00 will be collected at the time of application.

CONTEST RULES:

1. Acts are to be no longer than 5 minutes. ONLY solo, duo and trio acts permitted to enter.
2. All contestants must be at Blaylock Park and signed in no later than 8:00am on Saturday, April 3rd to turn in music.
3. No cassette tapes will be allowed. CD’s only. CD’s should be clearly marked with contestant’s name, song title and track number written/attached to the case.
   Sound system will be provided.
4. All acts should be appropriate for viewing by all ages. (No obscene language/actions)

JUDGING:

Talent will be judged for ages 19 and under.

Talent will be judged as follows:

1. Performer(s) Ability
2. Stage Presence
3. Originality
4. Level of Presentation (Preparation, continuity organization, etc.)

• First Place: $75.00 Gift Certificate
• Second Place: $50.00 Gift Certificate
• Third Place: $25.00 Gift Certificate

All entries will be judged and announced at a scheduled time during the Pine Hill Festival.

Any and All decisions of the judges are final.

Contestants are responsible for picking up their CD’s after they perform. SCEDP or talent show committee is not responsible for any CD’s left after the talent show.

PARENT OR GUARDIAN CONSENT FOR MINOR CHILDREN
For entry to be accepted, Parents/Guardians must read, sign and date this consent form.

We have read the rules and regulations governing the Pine Hill Festival’s Talent Show Contest and agree to abide by them.

do hereby authorize (please print), (child/ward) to participate in the Pine Hill Festival’s Talent Show Contest. We understand that our child/ward will be obligated to indemnify and hold harmless the Pine Hill Festival, the SCEDP, the Talent Show committee, and any and all from claims for damages to person and property while a participant in the talent show. We agree that this consent shall constitute a bar to any recovery or claim made by us or our child/ward against the SCEDP, its directors individually of as a whole and the staff including committee personnel.
