Strategic Plan for Recruitment

• Development of Targeted Industry List and Referral List for recruitment of business and industry
• Coordination regional economic development activities with Mississippi Gulf Coast Alliance
• Coordination regional economic development activities with Mississippi Power and access resources available through MPC
• Develop of additional industrial acreage to enhance Stone County’s potential for attracting business/industry

Incentive Package

• Develop incentive package for small businesses and developers and present to the City and County for consideration
• Develop policy/procedures for business and industry tax incentives and present to City and County for consideration

Ongoing Communication to Promote Expansion

• Continue E-Synchronist appointments
• Create and distribute Quarterly News Letter
• To enhance communication and solicit input for improved community development service, host quarterly meetings for Stone County Manufactures.

Agency Directory

• Create and distribute Service Directory, in print and on line

Workforce

• Collect and maintain data on workforce availability and trends in Stone County and the region
• Continue working with MGCCC workforce group to provide workforce development
